Mustafa M. Siddiqui is a Senior Managing Director of Blackstone. He serves as Co-Head of BAAM’s Strategic Capital Group, focusing on the acquisition of minority ownership interests in private equity and other alternative asset management firms (“GP stakes”).
Mr. Siddiqui was previously a Senior Managing Director in the Private Equity Group, where he was involved in the execution of several Blackstone investments, including those made through Royal Resources and Siccar Point. He most recently led Blackstone’s private equity investment activities across the energy sector in EMEA and was a member of the Investment Committee for Blackstone Energy Partners.
Before joining Blackstone in 2009, Mr. Siddiqui held roles at Springbok Capital, General Atlantic, and McKinsey & Company.
Mr. Siddiqui received an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College, where he graduated magna cum laude, an A.M. in Regional Studies from Harvard University, and an M.B.A. with High Distinction from Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar.
